Qualität in der Elektrotherapie – Stellungnahme der GESET

Zusammenfassung
Die Forderung nach Qualität in der Elektrotherapie ist das Hauptanliegen der GESET, sie ist in deren Satzung verankert. Die vorliegende Stellungnahme, verfasst vom Vorstand der GESET, ist eine Zusammenfassung der Wünsche und Forderungen, soweit es Strukturqualität, Prozessqualität und Ergebnisqualität betrifft. Die Strukturqualität in der Elektrotherapie ist im wesentlichen geprägt von der technischen Qualität der Geräte, die Prozessqualität vom Ausbildungsstandard der Therapeuten und die Ergebnisqualität von subjektiven und objektiven Messparametern zu Gesundheit und Wohlbefinden des Patienten und auch von finanztechnischen Daten der Kostenträger. Während die Strukturqualität mit technischen Daten relativ sicher und gut beschrieben werden kann, ist die Prozessqualität schon sehr viel komplexer und bezieht auch die persönliche Haltung des Therapeuten mit ein, und am unvollständigsten bleibt zur Zeit noch die Beschreibung der Ergebnisqualität. Informationen auf dem Gebiet der klinischen Forschung werden in der internationalen Literatur zwar zunehmend umfangreicher, in bezug auf die Kosten-Nutzen-Relation ist die Datenlage jedoch noch ärmlich.

Quality in electrotherapy – Comment of the GESET

Abstract
The demand for quality in electrotherapy is the main interest of the GESET, it is embedded in their by-laws. The present comment from the directory board of the GESET is a summary of wishes and claims, concerning the quality of structure, process and outcome of electrotherapy. Structural quality in electrotherapy is mainly characterized by the technical quality of the device, process quality by the educational status of the therapists and outcome quality by parameters of health and well-being of the patient as well as by financial data of the health insurance companies. While structural quality can be described very well and in a reliable way by technical data, process quality is much more complex, including the personality of the therapist, and the most incomplete part is the description of the outcome quality. Despite an increasing amount of information in the international literature, the data concerning the ratio of expenses and benefit of electrotherapy remain poor.
