Zusammenfassung
Bei Patienten mit einer Aphasie treten oft depressive Verstimmungen auf, aus denen sich eine »PostStroke Depression« (PSD) entwickeln kann. Obwohl sie weitreichende Konsequenzen für den Rehabilitationserfolg und die Lebenserwartung der Patienten hat, wird sie häufig nur schwer erkannt und daher auch nur selten behandelt. Ein Grund dafür ist, dass es kein standardisiertes Vorgehen für die Diagnose der PSD bei gleichzeitig bestehender Aphasie gibt. In dem Beitrag werden daher zum einen verschiedene Möglichkeiten vorgestellt, mit denen die PSD erfasst werden kann. Zum anderen wird auf eine Reihe von Behandlungs-optionen der PSD eingegangen, wobei die psychosoziale Therapie im Vordergrund steht.

Abstract
Patients with aphasia often suffer from depressive moods which can result in a post-stroke depression (PSD). Although the PSD leads to some consequences towards the success of rehabilitation and patients’ life expectancy, in many cases the PSD is not diagnosed and treated properly. This is due to the fact that there is no standardized procedure for the diagnosis of PSD which occurs in combination with aphasia. Thus, in this article several diagnostic approaches are described. Furthermore, some therapeutic options are discussed whereby emphasis is laid on psychosocial therapy.
