Akademisierungsprozess der Physiotherapie in Deutschland im
bildungs- und gesundheitspolitischen Kontext

Zusammenfassung
Das Neuordnen der Bildungswege in den Gesundheitsfachberufen steht auf der politischen
Agenda. Dieser Beitrag beschreibt, warum die aktuelle Entwicklung der Ausbildungsreform der
Gesundheitsfachberufe in einem systemorientierten Ansatz im Kontext der Versorgungsstrukturen
stattfinden sollte.
Die Akademisierungsdebatte in der Physiotherapie muss im Zusammenhang mit der Neuordnung
der Ausbildung in den Therapieberufen analysiert werden. Diese Analyse schließt den Blick auf
versorgungsrelevante, verbands- und bildungspolitische Aspekte ein. Barrieren wie Fachkräftemangel,
divergierende und kontrovers diskutierte Positionierungen unterschiedlicher Verbände
und politischer Interessensvertretungen zum Thema »Akademisierung« hemmen den Prozess der
Reform der Ausbildung in der Physiotherapie, wie in allen Gesundheitsfachberufen.

The academization of physiotherapy in Germany in the context of educational
and health policy

Abstract
Educational reform of the healthcare professions is on the political agenda.
This paper describes why the current development of educational reforms
across the health professions should be considered using a system-oriented
approach within the context of public health structures. The discussion
about the academization of physiotherapy must be analyzed in the context
of educational reforms across all therapeutic professions. This analysis
includes a look at aspects that are relevant to supply, professional associations
and educational policy. Barriers like the lack of skilled workers,
diverging and controversially discussed positions of different associations
and political interest groups on the topic of academization hamper the process
of reforming education in physiotherapy, as in all health professions.
